Nashville, Tenn. - The Southeast Missouri State men's basketball team has been picked to finish eighth in the preseason poll by league coaches and sports information directors.

Murray State was picked first with Tennessee-Martin second and Austin Peay third. Morehead State was chosen for fourth followed by Tennessee State, Tennessee Tech, Eastern Kentucky, Southeast Misosuri, Eastern Illinois and Jacksonville State.

The Redhawks begin practice on Wednesday, Oct. 15. The opening exhibition game will be at the Show Me Center on November 1 vs. Missouri Baptist with the regular season opener on Nov. 14 at New Mexico.
